A marionette drama staging A Glitch in Paradise, an unreleased television pilot written by Mike Zunic, based on a character created by Sam Hains’ brother, Harry Hains. It was the last thing Harry was working on before he died. The story follows Noah, whose consciousness is uploaded into a synthetic body after his death.

The puppets appear through Pepper’s ghost, the Victorian-era parlour trick used to project spectral holograms on stage. Using generative media, Sam enters into an eerie creative dialogue with his brother: Harry speaks through Noah and the artist narrates.

The work is a meditation on ghostly encounters: a presence we feel, that shapes us, yet cannot meet us on equal terms.
